Weather Alert – 12-18 inches in Snowmass, Aspen and Vail areas

Just saw it on the news, 12-18 inches in the high-country.  That’s us!  If you haven’t checked out this years snowmass ski rentals and your local snowmass ski shop to check out what you want to ski on this year.  That being said, if you have new skis that you are super excited to get out on this year, I wouldn’t do it after this storm or for the first couple weeks of the season.  Early season dumpings of snow can lead to horrible ski damage, you can’t see all the bad stuff below and the snow hasn’t settled enough to create that nice base layer that protects you throughout the winter.  Either way a bunch of snow is going to be sweet!
